Update the order confirmation email
Merge Codllect into the complete Shopify order confirmation template without losing existing email content.
Before you start
- Your COD method and fee already saved in Codllect.
- Access to Shopify notification settings.
- A safe local backup of the complete current order confirmation template.
Steps
Important: Copy the complete existing order confirmation template. Never replace the Shopify email with only a snippet.
- In Shopify admin, open Settings → Notifications.
- Open the Order confirmation notification and click Edit code.
- Copy the complete current template code, including all existing code and content.
- Paste the complete template into Codllect.
- Generate the merged full template.
- Copy all generated code back into the Shopify order confirmation template.
- Save the notification and preview it after pasting the merged full template.
- Return to Shopify Admin, reopen Codllect COD Fee, then click Save email setup and continue.
If you get stuck
- If Codllect cannot validate the template, copy the complete current template from Shopify again and make sure nothing is omitted.
- If the preview looks incomplete, restore your saved backup and repeat the merge with the full template rather than a partial snippet.
